From the article: What Is The Best Viewing Distance To Watch A TV From?
According to the Center for Screen-Time Awareness (CSTA), formerly TV-Turnoff Network, we are a society of more televisions than humans. It's true according to a 2006 Nielson ratings report published by the CSTA - 2.73 TVs to 2.55 humans per household.
Suffice it to say, we watch a lot of TV, which is why the CSTA is hosting Turnoff Week from April 20-26, 2009. There is another one September 20-26, 2009.

Speak Your MindLimiting When
- I watch about an hour of television a day (although it's almost all via hulu or fancast now), but only when I'm doing something else that is low maintenance enough that I can watch at the same time - getting ready for work, folding laundry, eating if no one else is around, etc. By limiting myself to just these times, I make sure I get the most out of my day while still catching up on my favorite programs. The nice part about them all being online is that I can watch the latest episode of my favorite shows a few days after they happen, spread throughout the week!
