Model: LT30HV
Type of TV: LCD Flat Panel
Screen Size: 30"
Year Bought: 2005
Cost: $1200
Extended Warranty Bought: No
Likes: It has a great picture when it works.
Dislikes: It has a defective part, which Olevia fails to acknowledge even though hundreds of customers have complained over the internet about the same exact problem that we have. It just goes to a blank screen and won't come on again for several months at a time.
They say that it will cost a minimum of $300 for repair, no guarantees and we pay the shipping. I have read nightmare stories about their repair department, so I have refused to ship it to them. They have the worst reputation for customer service and have hundreds of complaints with the Better Business Bureau but they continue to grow somehow.
This is the most money we've spent on a TV for the shortest amount of time of use. Mostly, it just sits backwards in a corner, waiting for the re-juvenation period while I watch my 17-year old $100 TV that still works fine. So disappointing.
Why I Chose This Model: My boyfriend thought it was a good deal online at target.com
Would I Buy It Again: No, poor business ethics - they do not stand behind their product and don't care about their reputation as you can see by surfing the net for complaint sites.
