The 50PF7320A is a 50" widescreen plasma TV from Philips that is currently listed as low as $1999 at Pricegrabber.com.. It is capable of displaying a digital (high definition) signal in a variety of ways...over-the-air with an antenna, through a cable/satellite box or a CableCARD. The maximum resolution is 768p
What I like:
- ATSC Digital Tuner: This is what you need to receive over-the-air high definition channels.
- CableCARD Ready: This is a credit card-like device that can replace the cable box on applicable cable systems. Plug and play is a term associated with the CableCARD.
- 10,000:1 Contrast Ratio: Not only does the 50PF7320A come with a contrast radio the size of Texas but it has a 1366x768 pixel screen. It also utilizes Philips' Pixel Plus picture enhancing technology.
- HDMI: Two HDMI connectors.
What I Don't Like:
- The 50PF7320A is 50" wide, which means not everyone will be able to have something this large. However, Philips offers comparable plasma models in the 37" and 42" range. For example: the 42PF7320A.
The Bottom Line:
It has virtually every kind of input possible from flash memory cards, USB, two HDMI and every other AV connection possible except for DVI. It has parental controls and picture-in-picture.
- 55.7" wide
- 30.7" high
- 4.1" deep
- 132.3 lbs
The bottom line is that the 50PF7320A is a super cool plasma TV. It has large screen (50") and all of the extras to make this the most favorite member of your family.
