When it came down to it the only thing that mattered to most was how big was yours at the 2006 International CES. Size, in this case, was screen size. Several manufacturers flexed their muscles by displaying prototypes of plasma televisions larger than 100" screens.
Other manufacturers went on a more practical route and displayed consumer-level screens ranging from 50-82". One product rep said that when estimating price it is pretty safe to assume about $1000 per inch of screen size with the larger models.
