Scott Ramirez, Toshiba's VP, Marketing said, "Toshiba is now a major player in the flat panel TV business. We have it all - HD and ED plasma, 4:3 and 16:9 LCD TV, and the largest selection of LCDVD in the business."
Most widescreen HD televisions will include Toshiba's next generation PixelPure AT (Adapative Technology) Digital Video Processing, which will give the overall picture quality a boost. All televisions will have new cabinetry. Other points of interest include:
- Widescreen models will have HDMI digital inputs
- Integrated HD sets will have a CableCard slot
- Most models will have a SoundStrip speaker system, which makes it look like there are no speakers on the television
- Plasma HDTV models with a built-in tuner will have a IEEE1394 port
- Cinema Series Plasma models will have THINC or Toshiba Home Interactive Network Connection, which has allows playback of files with the remote control only when a computer is connected to the television

In addition, Toshiba also announced a new lineup of combination TVs, a network DVD recorder, a new line of eleven 1080P DLP, Digital Light Processor, projection televisions and a line of LCDVD televisions, which have a DVD player built-in to each unit.
