HISTORY

Korean-based LG Electronics was established in 1958 under the name Goldstar. They immediately became a player in Korea’s electronics race by producing Korea’s first telephone, refrigerator, and black-and-white television. In 1995, Goldstar officially became LG Electronics, and continued its market success by buying American-based Zenith. With annual revenue exceeding US $16 billion, LG Electronics is a leader in digital television technology, and partners with Philips to create better LCD displays.
