What is Sky Angel
According to Sky Angel's Web site, "The Sky Angel IPTV system is a unique broadband television service that can be received virtually anywhere in Canada...(the programming includes) multiple TV & radio channels with programs that will edify, entertain and encourage your entire family."
Sky Angel has a larger package offered in the United States with over 30 video and 15 audio channels.
Programming and Price
Sky Angel Canada has 16 channels. Some of the higher profile channels include:
- Safe TV (international news and educational shows
- TVU Music Television (videos)
- KTV (Kids and Teens Television)
- Faith TV (Christian movies, documentaries and biographies)
- JCTV (Christian youth network, ages 13-30)
Sky Angel also has 13 audio channels. The package costs $24.99 CAD per month. There is also a $20 activation fee.
Equipment Needed
You will need a set-top box to receive the signal on your computer or television, which costs money. The TV set-top box is about $180 and the PC receiver is about $120.
You also need an internet connection that has a minimum speed of 1.5 mbps. If you want a wireless connection then you need a wireless router also.
