Instructions in this article apply to Adobe Photoshop CC 2019 for Windows and Mac, but most information also applies to earlier versions.

How to Crop Images in Photoshop With the Crop Tool

The Crop tool offers the quickest way to crop images in Photoshop:

  1. Open your image and select the Crop tool from the toolbox. You should see crop boundaries appear around the edge of your image.

How to Transform Perspective While Cropping

The Perspective Crop tool allows you to adjust the perceived angle that the picture was taken from while cropping down the edges of an image.

  1. Click and hold on the Crop tool and select Perspective Crop Tool from the list that appears.

Other Ways to Crop Images in Photoshop

It's also possible to crop images using Photoshop's Transform function and a new canvas. This method is useful if you want an image to maintain a specific size or aspect ratio.

  1. Go to Select > All.
