If you bought the TruLink Wireless USB to VGA Adapter Kit and use a PC with a resolution of 1366x768 then you'll likely experience the same problem I had.
The installation problem was due to incompatible resolution formats between the PC and TV -- the TruLink adapter uses a XGA format and my PC uses 1366x768, which isn't XGA.
The fix was to change my PC resolution to an XGA resolution. For me, it was 1024x768.
This is a step-by-step instruction on how to fix a specific PC to TV problem. It might even help with other problems. The pictures and instructions below are for a Windows Vista operating system.
1. PC to TV - Adjust Screen Settings on TruLink Display Settings Menu
Step 1 - You should see your PC on the TV once you have the TruLink Wireless USB to VGA Adapter Kit configured. If you don't then go to your Windows tray on the bottom right of the screen (by your clock), and right click on the TruLink Display Settings Menu. It's the one that looks like a flat panel TV. Click the Mirror option. The Mirror option will display your PC on your TV with about a half-second delay. If you don't see your PC on the TV then go to step 2.
2. PC to TV - Access Control Panel
Step 2 - Access the Start menu and click on Control Panel
3. PC to TV - Adjust Screen Resolution
Step 3 - A new screen will appear after you click the Control Panel icon in step 1. Look for the Appearance and Personalization menu and click Adjust Screen Resolution.
4. PC to TV - Display Settings Dialog Box
Step 4 - After clicking Adjust Screen Resolution the Display Settings dialog box will pop up. Look for Resolution and move the slider icon to the left and right to adjust your PC's screen resolution. In this image, I adjusted my screen resolution to 1024x768. When you're finished choosing your screen resolution click OK.
