Overview of Mitsubishi DLP Televisions

A J.D. Power and Associates co-winner for highest customer satisfaction with televisions priced at $3500 or more, Mitsubishi continues their award-winning excellence by making a variety of DLP rear projection televisions. Their MicroDisplays are available in two screen sizes – 52” and 62”, and four series - 327, 525, Medallion 725, and Diamond 825.

The technology inside all televisions is virtually the same except for the 327 series, which are the only units to feature an AMVP motion processor. Other than that, Mitsubishi DLPs come with a 1280 x 720p Proprietary DLP light engine, PerfectColor, dark detailer, DefinEdgeVSM, 480-line motion-adapter 3D Y/C comb filter, and auto film mode.

In watching all four series at Tweeter, it was difficult to distinguish a difference in picture quality from the Diamond to 327 series. All models exhibited an excellent picture. I watched several programs – one of which was a couple sailing on the ocean. Of the picture, I can only describe it by stating it was as if I were standing on the shore and looking out at sea. It looked that real and life-like.
