Alternative to Hiding Cables in Wall

Sunday July 27, 2008
I have a LCD TV that I've been thinking about mounting on the wall. This thought had gone by without an answer for the past three months when a voice suddenly filled my head.

"Mount that sucker," said the voice. "You can do it with the right plan."

I nodded. A wild hair was raised. "Mount that sucker," I thought.

So, I thought about where I would mount it. Then I wondered about how I would hide my A/V cables. I could run them through a wall but I don't want to do that. Then I remembered The Wiring Solution. This is an interesting product that is an alternative to running cables in the wall.

It is a molding made out of plaster that you attach to the wall. The cables then hide behind the molding in a channel designed for A/V cables. See Photos

Hi Matthew:
The concealed wires look good, but you never put in an audio/video system w/surround sound to complete the installation. You know how most of the TV speakers sound. Not good!
