Battery-Powered Televisions

Wednesday August 15, 2007
I've been watching a lot of weather reports the past week concerning tropical storms and hurricanes. While this won't apply to some, many people live in an area that can be affected by significant storms that damage electrical infrastructures - meaning we lose power.

I'm a big fan of being prepared in the event of power loss, which is why I own an inexpensive analog television that operates on batteries. I figure if I lose electricity then at least I can stay informed with the latest news reports via the TV antenna.

One such model that is built for severe weather is the Vector Tough Brite Storm Tracker. This particular model is also equipped with a weather radio.
