Review: LG Blu-ray/HD-DVD Combo Player

LG made a big splash at the 2007 Consumer Electronics Show after announcing the release of their Blu-ray/HD-DVD combo player. This is the first product to hit the market that combines the two latest DVD technologies (Blu-ray and HD-DVD).
About Guide to Home Theater, Robert Silva, recently posted a review on this ground-breaking product. Being the first generation of an already new technology, I have a few questions of my own:
- How does it compare in functionality to dedicated Blu-ray and HD-DVD players?
- Does it have equal compatibility between the two formats?
- Is it worth buying at this time or should I wait for the next generation?
