Father's Day Gift Idea: MLB.TV

Thursday June 9, 2005
With LCD flat panel displays being used in a dual role as television and PC monitor, we now have a limited alternative to cable and satellite by way of Internet television. A great example is Major League Baseball's MLB.TV service that webcasts over 300 games a month. Priced at $49.95 for the season, MLB.TV is an excellent Father's Day gift for the baseball obsessed dad. It costs considerably less than iNDEMAND's MLB Extra Innings package on cable/satellite, which costs $169 and shows less games.

Even if dad doesn't watch it on the television, it's still baseball. But, why not get dad the best of both worlds - the MLB.TV package and a brand new 30-39" LCD television. It'll be the best Father's Day ever, and a great card to hold up your sleeve for when you want something nice.
