Mother's Day Gift Idea: DVD Recorder and DVR
Tuesday May 3, 2005
Choosing a recording device is difficult. While the VCR is still an option, you're probably better off shopping for something that's geared toward the future - either a DVD or digital video recorder. Both make a great last minute gift for Mom. They each have an advantage/disadvantage over the other - DVRs can record up to 80 hours, but you can't make a copy of the recording without a VCR or DVD recorder. DVD recorders have shorter record times comparable to conventional VCRs, but you'll have a copy of the recording to save forever.
